WEBThe Congressional Budget Office expects the economy to grow more slowly in calendar years 2024 and 2025 than it grew in 2023. Economic growth is then projected to average roughly 1.8 percent a year from 2026 to 2034. The rate of inflation jumped in the first quarter of 2024, after easing since late 2022.
