Google’s new chatbot-style AI Mode search experience, previously an experiment, is launching for US users. Publishers and marketers will have to adjust their search strategies once again.

I/O presentation, the company revealed AI assistants of all kinds, smart glasses and headsets, and state-of-the-art AI filmmaking tools.

Specifically, Google says AI Mode will be able to answer “your toughest questions” and can be used to go more in-depth, asking follow-ups and providing “helpful web links.” AI Mode is based on a custom version of Gemini 2.
