A special election primary in Arizona’s 7th District on Tuesday was the latest flare-up of the Democratic Party’s clashes over age and experience as candidates vie to replace the late Rep. Raúl Grijalva.

Adelita Grijalva, the daughter of the late Rep. Raúl Grijalva, won the Democratic primary in the special election for Arizona's 7th District.

She will go up against Republican nominee Daniel Butierez to fill the US House seat her father held until his death earlier this year
