A huge fire broke out on Thursday night at a Chevron oil refinery in California, one of the largest on the U.S. west coast, following reports of an explosion.

A large fire broke out at Chevron's El Segundo refinery near Los Angeles in California on Thursday night, media said.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s office confirmed on the social platform X that the large fire had erupted at the company’s refinery in El Segundo.
