Immigration and Customs Enforcement released details on ICE's immigration raid in Colony Ridge on Monday. 118 people were arrested in that community about 40 miles northeast of Houston on offences including murder and child sexual abuse.

The development outside of Houston has long drawn the ire of Texas Republicans who claim it’s a haven for undocumented people.

Conservative state officials have previously accused the residential community north of Houston of being a safe haven for people in the country without legal status. It was not immediately clear Tuesday whether the reported number of arrests were made this week or as part of ongoing enforcement initiatives.
