Northern lights visible in Connecticut Thursday night
CONNECTICUT, USA — Connecticut residents spotted northern lights Thursday evening, resulting from a severe solar storm. According to FOX61 Meteorologist Rachel Frank, Thursday's visibility of the aurora borealis is a product of plasma and charged particles launched from the Sun into the Earth's atmosphere, resulting from a geomagnetic storm.
