We’re nearing the end of awards week for the Baseball Writers’ Association of America’s four-highest honors that are handed out after every baseball season.The third was announced last night as Paul Skenes was unanimously named the Cy Young Award winner in the National League.

Well, Skubal played the part, becoming the first repeat winner since Jacob deGrom in 2018-2019, and the first in the AL since Pedro Martinez in 1999-2000. Chris Sale, though, hurt his ribs making a diving play and was therefore not really in the running.
