Court documents show the suspect admitted to Danville police that "it was his intention to kill councilman Vogler."

A Danville City Council member was doused in gasoline and set on fire in what appeared to be a personal feud, the Danville Police Department said. Police said the two men knew each other and it appeared the attack stemmed from a personal matter and was not politically motivated.
