Helio Castroneves has mentioned a desire to compete in a NASCAR Cup Series race before. Now, he's doing it at the 2025 Daytona 500.

Hélio Castroneves, a four-time champion of the Indianapolis 500, will compete in the 2025 Daytona 500 in the No. 91 Chevrolet for Trackhouse Racing.

Four-time Indianapolis 500 winner Helio Castroneves is set to make his NASCAR debut as he attempts to qualify for the Feb. 15 Daytona 500 for Trackhouse Racing, The Athletic reported.

Castroneves is not assured a starting spot in the 40-car Daytona 500 lineup, of which 36 spots are already secured by full-time chartered teams. To secure a spot, he’ll need to either post a fast time in qualifying to secure one of the four open spots or claim a transfer position in his qualifying race.
