Gov. Ron DeSantis says Florida is suing two major textbook publishers he described as pushing “egregious” content in its instructional materials.
What he means by vote my mail, I think, just in my conversations, is the states like California and Nevada and others, where they just send all these ballots out into the ether,” DeSantis said during a news conference.

At the same time, though, DeSantis has approved state budgets that include an increasing reliance on local property taxes. That’s been evident in school district taxes, where the total required local effort has risen $3 billion since the first budget DeSantis signed.
Gov. Ron DeSantis says the state will appeal — possibly all the way up to the U.S. Supreme Court — and predicted Florida will “be vindicated” after a federal Judge knocked down part of Florida’s law restricting books in school libraries.
