Sooners ace Sam Landry had a feeling she couldn’t quite put her finger on heading into No. 2 Oklahoma’s first game against No. 7 Tennessee in the Women’s College World Series. “Something’s gonna happen,” she remembered thinking.

In the second game of the day in Oklahoma City on Thursday, May 29, it seemed Tennessee was going to take the game and shock many softball fans but then the Sooners rallied in the bottom of the seventh to come back and win 4-3 off the bat of Ella Parker.

Runners on the corners. Down to the last out. World Series game on the line. Oklahoma softball star Ella Parker found herself in that high-pressure situation on Thursday, and Parker delivered in dramatic fashion.

Ella Parker and Kasidi Pickering made the NFCA All-American First Team and are two of four Sooners who earned All-American status.
