European officials urged Iran to restrict its nuclear program hoping for off-ramp from conflict before President Trump decides whether to join Israel’s bombing campaign.

Geneva — Iran’s foreign minister was holding talks with top European diplomats in Geneva on Friday about the crisis that centers on concerns about his country’s nuclear program, a week after the long-simmering dispute erupted into war between Israel and Iran.

The meetings with the top diplomats from Britain, France and Germany are viewed as a last-ditch effort to avoid a dangerous escalation in the conflict between Iran and Israel.
