In a time of turmoil and trauma, the Golden Globe Awards didn't read the room and tried too hard to be loose and fun.

The Golden Globes had its share of surprises and sweet moments. Amy Poehler took home the first podcast award, joking about NPR, and Seth Rogen experienced déjà vu, winning after his show “The Studio” depicted the very ceremony just months before.

On the Golden Globe Awards red carpet, pops of bold color and ethereal florals stood out amid a sea of gowns and tuxes in black or white.

It doesn’t matter that they weren’t eligible for awards. The ‘Heated Rivalry’ stars were the big winners of the night anyway.

George Clooney presented an award with Don Cheadle at the 2026 Golden Globe Awards. Clooney, who was recently granted citizenship in France with wife Amal and their two kids, began his presentation by speaking a bit of French.

Hamnet was nominated alongside Frankenstein, It Was Just an Accident, The Secret Agent, Sentimental Value and Sinners. Shortly before Hamnet ‘s win, star Jessie Buckley won for her performance as Agnes in the film. One Battle After Another won the best motion picture comedy or musical award.
