Auburn coach Hugh Freeze said on his weekly radio show Monday that the three top quarterbacks on the roster -- Arnold, Stanford transfer Ashton Daniels and five-star true freshman Deuce Knight -- could see time in the season opener Aug. 30 at Baylor.

Laying out the strategy himself recently, offensive coordinator Derrick Nix is scheduled to be in charge of first-down calls for Auburn. Freeze will send the play in on second down, followed by quarterbacks coach Kent Austin. He is in charge of third-down strategy and will call the play. But Freeze has the right to overrule them both.
