A dozen members of Congress who have been blocked from making oversight visits at immigration detention centers are suing the Trump administration to ensure they are granted entry into the facilities,

An Immigration and Customs Enforcement memo said that National Guard troops would assist in the deportation process for migrants in their custody.

U.S. Rep. Veronica Escobar, D-El Paso, has joined a lawsuit filed by a dozen Democrats against the Trump administration for blocking oversight visits

“Backed by significant new funding through the recently signed One Big Beautiful Bill, ICE is rolling out patriotic recruitment posters and benefits to attract the next generation of law enforcement professionals to find, arrest, and remove criminal illegal aliens,” DHS said in a statement.

The agency is promising up to $50,000 in signing bonuses, the potential for lots of overtime for deportation officers and other benefits such as loan repayment or forgiveness options. All of this is made possible by a big infusion of money to ICE.
