Jon Jones brutally attacked one of his former UFC rivals in a rant that has gone viral online. There can be no doubt that across the history of the UFC, it's hard to argue that there have been many fighters as good as Jones.

The American had asked UFC CEO Dana White to set up a fight against current light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira. The pair wanted to clash at the White House, but it seems that will not happen after the Brazilian posted a message. Jones still wanted to fight Pereira but claimed that White is not keen on setting up this clash:

Cormier laughed off any suggestion that he would lose to Jones in wrestling and questioned why anybody would think it. ‘DC’ believes he would whitewash his longtime UFC enemy 10-0. Reacting to that on his Pound 4 Pound podcast alongside Henry Cejudo, welterweight legend Kamaru Usman disputed Cormier’s one-sided take.

As far as having a mentor in the cage, a young fighter can't do much better than Jon Jones. Outside the cage, though, is a different story.
