The new brand name will be MS NOW (My Source News Opinion World) according to an internal memo sent to employees under Versant, a new spin off company that will housed NBC cable TV networks.

Versant will replace “SpinCo” as the permanent brand name, and is intended to reflect “versatility, growth and innovation,” Lazarus wrote in the note, a copy of which was reviewed by The Desk.

The progressive cable news network MSNBC will formally change its name later this year to MS Now, standing for My Source for News, Opinion, and the World.
