Michigan football's 2026 class grows with 4-star CB Andre Clarke's commitment, joining a surging Wolverines' recruiting haul.

According to the 247Sports Composite rankings, the 6-foot-1, 175-pounder is the No. 177 overall player and No. 16 safety in the country, although Michigan is recruiting him as a cornerback. He took official visits to Michigan and Kentucky this month before making his decision.

Michigan football has added another four-star defender to its 2026 recruiting class. Defensive back Andre Clarke Jr., who plays for Hermitage High in Virginia, announced his commitment in a social media post Monday. He took an official visit to Michigan on June 13 and picked the Wolverines over Kentucky and SMU.
