Imagine being able to travel between Delhi and Meerut in under 40 minutes at a speed of 160 kmph! Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched the Namo Bharat train service on the 13-kilometre stretch connecting Sahibabad to New Ashok Nagar through Anand Vihar in Delhi.

The operational 55-km stretch of the RRTS corridor connects New Ashok Nagar in Delhi to Meerut South, featuring 11 stations.

The Namo Bharat train entered the national capital on Sunday with Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurating a 13-km section of the Delhi-Meerut RRTS corridor from Sahibabad in Ghaziabad to New Ashok Nagar.

This 13-km section of the Delhi-Meerut Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) from Sahibabad in Uttar Pradesh to New Ashok Nagar is now operational.

The inauguration of the Delhi section marks the arrival of Namo Bharat trains in the national capital, expanding the RRTS network.
