A new Marist poll finds that a majority of New York City residents want Mayor Eric Adams to resign after his indictment on federal corruption charges.

New York City Mayor Eric Adams has been indicted by a federal grand jury, according to sources familiar with the matter.

Public Advocate Jumaane Williams would become acting mayor and set a special election if Adams leaves office before his first term expires at the end of 2025.
