Jayden Daniels, a 23-year-old rookie quarterback, is Washington's new hero. The big picture: Everyone is talking about how well he throws and runs with the ball — suddenly Washington football is back on the national stage.

So far, Daniels has completed an absurd 82.1% of his passes, almost 10% better than anyone else in the league. He’s also thrown for 897 yards, ranking 12th in the league, while averaging 8.5 yards per attempt, only behind Brock Purdy and Sam Darnold. Also, Daniels tops the chart in EPA per play, success rate and adjusted EPA per play.

Daniels became the first quarterback in NFL history to complete at least 85% of his throws in consecutive games, via Elias Sports. He completed nearly 87% of his throws on Sunday after he completed 91.3% of his throws in Cincinnati. Daniels' 82.1% completion percentage through his first four games is also an NFL record ( h/t Bleacher Report ).
