MONDAY, Aug. 18, 2025 (HealthDay News) — Nike co-founder Phil Knight and his wife, Penny, will donate $2 billion to Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) to expand cancer research and patient care. The school called it the largest single donation ever made to a U.S. university.
Knight and his wife are making a record private gift to Oregon Health & Science University amid broader battles over public funding for higher education.
The charitable donation, one of the largest in higher education and state history, will support cancer research.
