A traffic stop in Madera turned into an unusual arrest Monday night when a California Highway Patrol officer pulled over a speeding Rolls Royce Ghost on northbound Highway 99, north of Avenue 17, the CHP said in a statement.

Around 8PM on December 30th, California Highway Patrol pulled over a driver for speeding his Rolls Royce Ghost down Highway 99. According to a CHP Madera County’s Facebook post, the driver was “found to be under the influence and placed under arrest for DUI.” Inside the roughly $400,000 luxury car, authorities found an unexpected passenger.

Whatever the monkey’s fate, one thing is very clear. Criminals sometimes do very dumb things. Speeding in a high-profile car while under the influence and while carrying various forms of contraband is a quick way to end up in jail. Just ask the driver of this Rolls Royce Ghost.
