There likely won’t be many, if any days, this season when Kasparas Jakucionis will have the opportunity to be the leading man for the Miami Heat. Thursday at the Las Vegas NBA Summer League, was one that came practically by default.

The Pistons improved to 3-1 during the 2K26 Summer League tournament in Las Vegas. With one more game left, the league has not announced Detroit's final opponent.

But like most of summer league, the results were mixed for the 19-year-old Jakucionis in the Heat's 108-88 loss to the Detroit Pistons on Thursday at the Pavilion on UNLV's campus to drop to 1-3 in Las Vegas Summer League.

Jack McVeigh led the Hawks with 20 points. Kobe Bufkin and rookie first-round pick Asa Newell contributed matching 14-point, two-assist tallies while pulling down six and eight rebounds, respectively. Newell added two steals and two blocks. Kobe Johnson furnished 12 points, four boards and two assists.

The Memphis Grizzlies dropped their second consecutive game, losing to the Atlanta Hawks in the summer league in Las Vegas.
