The Oklahoma City Thunder are the team to beat in the NBA currently, and will defend their 2024-25 title this season in a stacked Western Conference. Winning 68 games last season, they return nearly their entire roster, as well as adding two pieces in their 2024 draft pick Nikola Topic and 2025 pick Thomas Sorber.

NBC’s return to the NBA broadcast world officially starts with opening night on Oct. 21, when the Thunder (favored by 6.5 points) will receive their championship rings before playing host to Durant and the Rockets in the first game of the season.

With 16 back-to-back games scheduled throughout the 2025-26 campaign, the Philadelphia 76ers, the Denver Nuggets, the Phoenix Suns, the Charlotte Hornets, and the Washington Wizards will play the most next season. After Thunder's Opening Night, Oklahoma City will face the Indiana Pacers on the road for an NBA Finals rematch on October 23.
