A veteran of a Ukrainian drone unit is pointing out the shortcomings of cheap drones as a strike asset.

Underwater drones are significantly more expensive than their aerial counterparts, costing a minimum of about $500 and the more expensive ones being $6,500.

The Pentagon wants more small, cheap, easily replaced drones in the hands of troops as quickly as possible, and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said he is cutting red tape to make that happen.
