Clemson approved a contract for Dabo Swinney’s new offensive coordinator on Monday, and he’s a familiar name. Here’s how much the university will pay for the return of Chad Morris.
Morris, 57, is in a play-caller role for the first time since 2020 at Auburn. He previously served as Clemson’s offensive coordinator from 2011-14 and is credited with helping build the Tigers’ national championship teams after he left the program.

Chad Morris, who served as Clemson’s offensive coordinator at the start of the program’s rise under Dabo Swinney, is returning to the Tigers as their new offensive coordinator in 2026, according to multiple reports. This move comes less than a week after Swinney parted ways with Garrett Riley.
Wright played at Clemson from 2009-12 and was part of Swinney’s first ever recruiting class. He’d replace former safeties coach Mickey Conn, who was fired on Dec. 29 after nine seasons on staff, as a lead assistant for the Tigers.
During the Under Armour All-American Game, five-star edge rusher Jaiden Bryant announced that he will be committing to LSU. The South Carolina native was also considering Alabama, Miami, Georgia and Texas A&M.
