In the middle period of the Nashville Predators vs. Boston Bruins at TD Garden on Tuesday evening, Bruins center Elias Lindholm left the game with an injury and will not return.
BOSTON — Bruins coach Marco Sturm was hopeful that the injury that ended Elias Lindholm’s night early wasn’t too bad. The second-period injury that sent the team’s first-line center to the dressing room was a sour note on an otherwise good night as Boston beat Nashville, 3-2 in OT.
Lindholm (upper body) won't return to Tuesday's game versus the Predators. Lindholm appeared to get injured during a faceoff in the second period. The 31-year-old center should be considered day-to-day for now. Casey Mittelstadt would likely move back to center from the wing if Lindholm is forced to miss time.
