MSU is coming off a 73-71 victory over Nebraska at home on Thursday, Jan. 15, and has been one of the hottest teams in the Big Ten. The Spartans' nine-game winning streak is the second-longest in the Big Ten behind UCLA, which has won 10 straight. Iowa is on a five-game winning streak.

MSU trailed by as many as 17 points in the middle stages of the third quarter and got as close as five with 3:28 to play. The Spartans failed to get any closer though as Hannah Stuelke hit a key jump shot just before the shot clock expired to extend Iowa's lead.
