U.S. strikes on Houthis in Yemen are ongoing daily and will continue until the Iran-backed terrorists stop attacking military and merchant vessels transiting shipping lanes in and near the Red Sea, Pentagon officials said Monday.

Houthi rebels have claimed another attack on a United States naval vessel, calling it “retaliation” for US strikes on Yemen. A Houthi spokesperson said on Monday that fighters had launched 18 missiles and a drone at the “aircraft carrier USS Harry Truman and its accompanying warships”.

The Yemeni Armed Forces will not hesitate to target all American warships in the Red Sea and in the Arabian Sea in retaliation to the aggression

The Houthis claimed on Sunday to have fired 18 ballistic missiles and a drone at the USS Harry S. Truman aircraft carrier group.

The attack on the Navy ships come a day after the USS Harry S. Truman and its support ships carried out several strikes inside Yemen.

United States warships have shot down roughly a dozen Houthi drones since President Donald Trump launched airstrikes against the terrorist organization on Saturday. Fox News reports that a senior defense official disclosed the developments to it on Sunday.
