The Oregon women’s basketball team continued its winning ways with a 71-53 win Tuesday over St. Mary’s at the Hoopfest Basketball Women’s Challenge in Frisco, Texas. But the Ducks needed a hot-shooting fourth quarter to get the job done.

Saint Mary’s rode that hot shooting to another half where it outscored Ohio by double-digits, handing the Bobcats a 30-point loss in the process. Ohio will continue its stretch of brutal non-conference opponents this Saturday when it goes on the road to take on No. 12 Louisville.

Coit scored 16 of Maryland’s final 19 points, 24 of its 37 second-half points and drained a game-tying 3-pointer in the closing second of regulation.

Also playing each other for the first time in school history, Saint Mary’s played Hiram College during their second game at The Inn at Saint Mary’s Classic, earning an 86-55 victory. The Belles moved to 2-1 on the season while the Terriers fell to 0-3.
