After giving up a record-setting performance to Texas-San Antonio quarterback Owen McCown on Thursday night, Tulane knows it needs to bounce back quickly for a massive game at Memphis next Friday.

Tulane head coach Jon Sumrall has been heavily linked to LSU this week. He was upset by a previously 3-4 team on Thursday night.

The Tulane Green Wave (6-1) hit the road for an AAC battle against the UTSA Roadrunners (3-4) on Thursday, October 30, 2025 at the Alamodome. The Green Wave faced the Army Black Knights in their most recent game, winning 24-17. Their last time out, the Roadrunners were beaten by the North Texas Mean Green 55-17.

After Tulane needed two touchdowns in the final two minutes to rally past Army in its latest close call, coach Jon Sumrall labeled the Green Wave his most talented team in four years as a head coach but also the least mature.

Navy is now the only American team undefeated in conference play, but the Midshipmen have a daunting November schedule.

The Tulane football team (6-2, 3-1 American) could not overcome a hostile road crowd and four turnovers in falling to UTSA (4-4, 2-2 American) by a 48-26 score on Thursday, Oct. 30, at the Alamodome.

From the wrought iron fences on the shoulder pads and pants, to Tulane in street tiles on the helmet, even on the inside of the jersey it says “Welcome to Uptown,’ these uniforms are 100 all-in on New Orleans. Tulane is the school of New Orleans in college football, and now they have a uniform to represent it.

In a game where the Tulane head coach said they needed to figure out a way to limit distractions, the Green Wave became a diversion unto itself.
