WASHINGTON — The UConn women’s basketball team missed 10 straight 3-pointers before Sarah Strong got the first one to fall in Thursday’s game at Georgetown, but even a rollercoaster offensive performance did little slow the Huskies down.
Shea Ralph will coach against her mentor, Geno Auriemma, at least twice over the next few seasons as UConn and Vanderbilt agreed to a two-game series.
The additions of former USC guard Kayleigh Heckel and Serah Williams, a double-double machine at Wisconsin, have proven to be perfect for the top-ranked Huskies. Heckel is one of six UConn players with at least twice as many assists as turnovers.
UConn women's basketball recorded a historic game Monday night, overpowering Notre Dame 85-47 as the Huskies remain undefeated. The game marked the largest margin of victory for either team in the series between the two programs, according to Alexa Philippou of ESPN.
