Connecticut and much of the country was treated to quite a light show Thursday night. The Northern Lights were visible to much of the state and gave off a spectacular display of colors across the sky.

The northern lights are expected to be visible over much of the northern half of the country Thursday, including in Connecticut, according to a prediction from NOAA. "The aurora may become visible over much of the northern half of the country, and maybe as far south as Alabama to northern California," NOAA said.
