At noon on Tuesday, the NWS Los Angeles/Oxnard CA released an updated extreme heat warning valid from Thursday 11 a.m. until Friday 9 p.m. for Santa Ynez Mountains Western Range.
With a cold front on the way, temperatures could get close to 100° Tuesday afternoon and feeling hotter. Also with this front, a few storms will be possible with even a small risk of a strong to severe storm.

A Heat Advisory is in effect for most of the Midstate again today with high temperatures expected to push into the mid to upper 90s with a heat index between 100°-105°+ this afternoon. We’ll see some cloud cover mix in at times, but sunshine should win out the day. Tonight, will be warm and humid with lows in the mid 70s by tomorrow morning.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — FOX 17 News is in a Code Red Alert for heat through Tuesday evening, as a heat advisory continues for much of the viewing area. Highs for Tuesday could reach 100 degrees for the first time this year. Heat index values will soar to 106-109 degrees for those in the advisory.
Scorching heat & humidity will continue for another day before a midweek cold front brings some changes.
