Traveling from Main Street, U.S.A., Mickey Mouse helped open the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) Thursday. Walt Disney Co. CEO Bob Iger officially rang the bell to start the markets in honor of Disneyland’s 70th anniversary.

In the early morning hours of July 17, 2025, a ceremony honoring the park’s 70th anniversary was held at Disneyland wth Cast Members in attendance. Disney CEO Bob Iger made an appearance, along with Parks Chairman Josh D’Amaro. The pair took a moment to take a selfie on Main Street with Cast Members before the ceremony began.

Bob Iger is returning to Disney as CEO, retaking the reins of a company that’s very different from the one he led when he stepped down as chief executive in February 2020.
