Invest 91L developed in the Caribbean this week, first as a tropical disturbance and the National Hurricane Center is tracking it over Mexico.

The National Hurricane Center will be keeping an eye on the southern Gulf this weekend, but there is only a low chance of a tropical storm forming. The hurricane center on Friday highlighted an area of interest that will move into the Bay of Campeche in the coming days.

Even if the disturbance doesn't develop into a named storm, it could still impact the Texas Gulf Coast. The circulation could draw tropical moisture northward, bringing increased rain chances to parts of Texas.
