Former Minnesota Twins closer Jhoan Duran was hit by a comebacker on Friday night and the Philadelphia Phillies now await his injury outcome.
During the ninth inning of the Phillies’ 6-2 win over the Nationals on Friday, Duran, 27, got struck in the right ankle with a 94 mph liner hit by third baseman Paul DeJong, leaving the closer in immense pain.
According to a report from The Athletic, Twins vice president of communications Dustin Morse sent over all the digital assets to the Phillies for Duran's entrance presentation. The Phillies' production team then had 36 hours to recreate it for Citizens Bank Park.
