A Customs and Border Patrol agent appeared to brag to fellow agents about his marksmanship when he shot a woman five times after their cars collidedin Chicago last month, text massages shown in court revealed.

A Border Patrol agent who shot a U.S. citizen five times told her lawyer, “I take pride in my shooting skills.” She’s charged with assaulting him.

“Moments after exiting the CBP Vehicle, the Martinez Vehicle drove northbound ” at the agent and he “proceeded to fire approximately five shots from his service weapon at the driver of the Martinez Vehicle,” prosecutors wrote in a criminal complaint last month.
