DALLAS (AP) — Luka Doncic walked toward the wrong locker at halftime before a quick U-turn by Lakers star in his second trip to Dallas since the shocking trade that sent him to Los Angeles almost a year ago.
Luka Doncic led the Lakers team to a 116-110 victory at the American Airlines Center over his former team, the Dallas Mavericks.
Despite freezing temperatures and icy conditions, crowds gathered in downtown Dallas after the Mavericks game. Fans leaving The Arc were energized, celebrating the Lakers’ win and hyping rookie Cooper Flagg.
Luka Doncic’s return to Dallas was always going to be emotional, but he made sure it was also historic. Even the fans were appreciative of their former franchise cornerstone throughout the game.
