Lando Norris was quizzed on his Max Verstappen comment after a feisty end to the Spanish Grand Prix. On Sunday afternoon, McLaren star Oscar Piastri put on a masterclass around the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya as he took the chequered flag ahead of Norris and Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc.

Verstappen appeared to intentionally crash into Mercedes' George Russell, causing race stewards to hand him the penalty which demoted him from fifth down to 10th in the immediate aftermath of the race, a verdict which has been heavily disputed among the paddock.

Piastri gasped after seeing it, while Leclerc said: “Oh my god.” There was then stunned silence before Norris broke it with his killer Mario Kart one-liner. Verstappen was handed a 10-second time penalty over the incident, dropping him to 10th in the race, while he has received widespread condemnation for his driving.
