Seven months after the New York Mets traded Eric Orze to the Tampa Bay Rays, the right-handed relief pitcher is set to make his return to Queens this weekend.

Roman Anthony hit a two-run double for his first major league hit and added a sliding catch in right field to help the Boston Red Sox beat the Tampa Bay Rays 3-1.

All of his hard work, and the help and support he got from family and friends along the way, as he made his major-league debut, throwing two scoreless and hitless innings at Fenway Park, where he used to attend games as a kid, to lead the Rays to a hard-fought win.

Ramos had 83 home runs with the Nationals and hit .268. In 2016, he made his first All-Star Game and ended the season with a .307 batting average, 25 doubles, 22 homers and 80 RBI. That was his last season with the Nats. He went on to play for the Rays, Phillies, Mets, Tigers and Guardians.

The San Francisco Giants have maneuvered their way into contention in nail-biting fashion. A trade for this slugger would improve the margin for error.

Luis Torrens has asserted himself as one of the best defensive catchers in the league and Francisco Alvarez has made tremendous strides there as well. In total, 29 bases have been stolen successfully against them while they’ve caught 18. That’s a sensational ratio.
