The first slate of performers for the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards have been announced, with Sabrina Carpenter, J Balvin, and Alex Warren all set to take the stage.

LL Cool J is returning to the MTV VMAs stage this September. On Thursday, Aug. 14, MTV announced that the "Mama Said Knock You Out" rapper will be hosting the 2025 MTV VMAs at the UBS Arena on Sunday, Sept. 7.
