Six states have pledged to send troops to Washington, D.C., swelling the number of National Guard brought to support federal law enforcement.

West Virginia National Guard troops have begun to arrive in Washington, DC, to assist with President Donald Trump’s crime crackdown in the nation’s capital, a defense official told CNN on Tuesday.

The chair of the Democratic Governors Association, however, warned Republican governors against supporting “a dangerous, politically motivated agenda.”
