New Yorkers are expressing skepticism after Democratic mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani appeared to try to distance himself from the phrase “globalize the intifada."
And he’s not alone. Sen. Chuck Schumer and Gov. Kathy Hochul have yet to weigh in on the mayoral race, even though Mamdani handily clobbered ex-gov. Andrew Cuomo, the longtime frontrunner who was angling for his political comeback in the primary.
The poll results emerge as Cuomo relaunched his campaign as an independent following his primary defeat by Mamdani.
