Paul Skenes and girlfriend Livvy Dunne celebrated the MLB star’s first career Cy Young Award on Wednesday, Nov. 12 with the Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher’s favorite snack: hot dogs from a rotating, stadium-sized ballpark cooker.

Paul Skenes has just two years of MLB experience under his belt with the Pittsburgh Pirates, but he's got two major trophies to show for them.

Skenes was named the 2025 Cy Young by unanimous vote after posting a 1.97 ERA and striking out 216 batters while only allowing 11 home runs and 42 walks over 32 starts.

Paul Skenes added to his individual accolades with the National League Cy Young Award but had to use the moment to also sidestep concern that he is looking to leave the Pittsburgh Pirates. Skenes remains under team control for the rest of the decade but found himself pushing back against a report that he has told teammates he is eager to move on via trade -- with a particular focus on joining the New York Yankees.
