USC offensive lineman DJ Wingfield and UCLA wide receiver Kaedin Robinson transferred to their respective schools in search of a fifth year of eligibility, but a U.S. District Court judge denied their injunctive relief, preventing them from playing the 2025 season. San Diego State linebacker Jagger Giles also had his eligibility request denied.
UCLA, on the other hand, has slowly built up its quarterback room, landing both Nico and Madden Iamaleava. They also have former four-star recruit Pierce Clarkson, who transferred in from Ole Miss. But, they have yet to land a quarterback in the 2026 class.
As part of coach DeShaun Foster’s efforts to connect a team featuring 55 new players and eight new assistant coaches, everyone participated in brotherhood meetings.
In Costa Mesa, during UCLA football’s fall training camp, Foster introduced Brotherhood meetings, in which coaches would explain their why. Every coach told their story and dove into their backgrounds and struggles to show that everyone has vulnerabilities and that football careers aren’t smooth sailing, Foster said.
