Jack Quinn scored twice and the Buffalo Sabres spoiled the Ottawa Senators’ homecoming with a 4-0 win Thursday night.
The Senators (19-18-3) left the ice to a chorus of boos after the Buffalo Sabres handed them their fourth straight loss (0-3-1). Ottawa was playing its first game on home ice since Dec. 14 after they were forced on the road for nine games due to the world junior hockey championship. It was hardly the homecoming anyone expected.
Ryan McLeod had a season-high 3 points in the win. Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen made 35 saves for his second shutout of the season and Ryan McLeod had a goal and two assists in the Buffalo Sabres’ 4-0 win over the Ottawa Senators at Canadian Tire Centre on Thursday.

Buffalo went on to double their lead in the second period, as Nick Jensen flipped a pass right to Dylan Cozens, who beat Anton Forsberg at the 4:11 mark, and 6 minutes later, a Ryan McLeod shot deflected in off of Thomas Chabot making it 4-0 Buffalo. A whole lot of "Yikes" without much to put into the positive column.
Buffalo looks to build momentum versus the division-rival Senators. The Buffalo Sabres’ one-game road trip takes them to Canadian Tire Center for a Thursday night matchup with the Ottawa Senators.
It was a tough night for the Ottawa Senators as they were shutout 4-0 by the Buffalo Sabres in their first home game since December 14.
