PHILADELPHIA -- The Philadelphia Eagles rode into the NFC Championship Game on the strength of Saquon Barkley and the defense, knocking off the Los Angeles Rams 28-22 in the divisional round on Sunday. In other words, nothing has changed.
The Eagles running back may have iced the game for the Eagles with a 78-yard touchdown run, sprinting through the left side of the line and hitting the jets for the touchdown. An extra point gives the Eagles a 28-15 lead with 4:36 remaining.
Saquon Barkley's incredible season continued on Sunday as he made NFL history with one long touchdown run. In the first quarter of the Philadelphia Eagles' divisional round matchup against the Los Angeles Rams, Barkley broke away for a 62-yard touchdown run.
Barkley rushed for 255 yards and scored on runs of 70 and 72 yards in a 37-20 victory over the Rams at SoFi Stadium.
Barkley was the first running back in team history to rush for over 2,000 yards. He also is closing in on the all-time combined rushing yards list set by Terrell Davis in 1998.
