A charity kitchen in the occupied West Bank has expanded its usual operations to help displaced Palestinians trying to mark the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.

The Palestinian Authority wants to prove it can handle security in Gaza, even if it means working in parallel with a destructive Israeli campaign that has displaced tens of thousands.

Nearly 40,000 Palestinians driven from their homes by Israel's month-long offensive have scattered across nearby villages and towns, trying to find shelter.

Israel has killed a Hamas terror cell leader in the West Bank. It comes as Arab leaders reveal details of their plan for Gaza – which runs contrary to the vision of US President Donald Trump. The Israeli military has killed three Palestinians while in pursuit of a top Hamas terrorist.

As a practical and political matter, the idea is a nonstarter. But simply by proposing it, Trump may have paved the way for two more attainable goals that could reshape the Middle East—and lead to chaos for Palestinians, particularly those in the West Bank.
